He was a hatter, and a mad one at that. He was also a warrior, the White Queen's finest. He could have been Underland's champion, if he were not so mad...instead, he was her teacher, her mentor. He may have even loved her, as proven when he tried to kill her.
He was, as you must remember, quite mad.
Now a threat to the mortal realm is a threat to all, and he has been sent by his mistress to again fight by Alice's side against a threat even greater than the Red Queen, even greater than the Jabberwocky. The Jackal threatens to destroy all the realms, and it's up to him to see that in this fight, Alice...and her heirs...don't have to face their foes alone.
